Updated Bike Lane Proposal for Metropolitan Avenue

The NYC Department of Transportation is developing a plan which now includes striping dedicated bike lanes along Metropolitan Avenue that extends Grand Streets bike lane and on the Metropolitan Avenue Bridge to connect Brooklyn/Queens bike routes to one another and improve cyclist, motorist and pedestrian safety.  This plan went before Community Board 1 full board in June and will now go to the Community Board 1, Transportation Committee for its recommendation on July 21st.  Most likely the committee will then make its recommendation to the full board on August 9th.
