Evergreen Operations Seminar Series

What to Expect

This five-week program will meet on Thursdays from 9:00am-12pm. Students should expect to spend at least one to two hours per week outside of class working on additional homework. This series is an excellent opportunity for business owners to build their business infrastructure and stop working in their business and start working on their business.

Learning Objectives

  • Understand why an infrastructure is valuable
  • Create an outline for an Operations Manual
  • Write important protocols and procedures
  • Asses how to implement this manual and navigate change

Module 1: Introduction to Operations

This first-class introduces students to the concept of an Operations Manual and begins the process of creating the plan for removing them from the day to day of running their business so they can focus on the big picture.

Module 2: Creating Your Manual

The second class starts the outline and development of the operations manual in its entirety.

Module 3: Writing Great Protocols

The third class looks at how to develop the specific protocols and procedures for the Operations Manual, understand the project management of the tasks and how to engage employees.

Module 4: Leadership & Delegation

The fourth class will teach students about delegation and how to remove work from their own to-do list.

Module 5: Implementing an Operations Manual

The final class will bring everything together and discuss how to go about implementing the manual and navigating change.

About Our Instructor:
Holly Howard, founder of business consultancy ‘Ask Holly How.’  Since launching Ask Holly How in 2012, Holly has worked with over 100 businesses through her private consulting and business growth program. She has a rich background as a professional ballet dancer, music therapist, medical researcher, bassoonist, and a VP of Operations and Finance. She was the lead consultant on Plan For Growth with SBIDC and a core consultant with NYBDC.
