The Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF) Small Business Growth & Recovery Fund by NCRC
The Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF) Small Business Growth & Recovery Fund grant program aims to help U.S. small businesses severely impacted by the pandemic stabilize and thrive by providing better access to affordable capital in the form of non-repayable grants of up to $20,000.
The application period will remain open from February 17th until March 19th at 11:59 PM EST.
The grant program focuses primarily on businesses within traditionally underserved communities. Some of the factors examined in making that determination may include whether the business is located in a low- or moderate-income census tract, is owned in whole or in part by people who identify as women, racial or ethnic minorities, or veterans. Qualified businesses have been operational for at least one year and generate up to $3 million in gross revenue. Smaller businesses are strongly encouraged to apply and will be given priority. We look for business owners who display investment in and commitment to their proposed project.
Along with capital in the form of non-repayable grants, the grant program will also provide businesses with expert support through complementary virtual skills-driven training and mentorship. These are designed to help catalyze entrepreneurial efforts and stimulate innovation and growth amidst the pandemic.
The program application has two components: a questionnaire and a short video. In the video, applicants should describe their business, share how it has been impacted by the pandemic, and pitch their plan for how the grant funds will help move their business forward.
