Evergreen is hosting a series of “lunch and learn” online workshops to help you understand the components of successful succession planning and learn what you can do right now to prepare your business for a smooth transition. This event series is for any small business owner considering a transition in the future–no matter how far away that may be. There are steps you can take now to ensure that you are in the best position possible to smoothly transition your business – whether that means transferring the business to the next generation, selling to a competitor or broker or even selling your business to your employees.
The three online workshops will be followed by an in-person social mixer exclusively for workshop participants on Tuesday, June 24th at 5:30 pm.

- How real estate transfer relates to business transfer
- What you need to do to prepare for a sale, including survey, environmental reports, floor plans, etc
- How to do a 1031 like/kind exchange
- How to manage timing, including how long does it take to sell and how much time for 1031 exchanges
