First Aid For Feedback
An Evergreen Workshop
December 4, 2024 11am-1pm
Feedback can be a choking hazard! Whether it’s stuck in your throat because you haven’t expressed it, or because you can’t digest it, this workshop will walk you through the steps required to break that feedback down.
Intrigued? Then join Evergreen and Morgan Evans of Business Casual to dig in! Over the course of two hours, participants will learn research-backed strategies that will unlock the mystery around giving, receiving and inviting feedback. In addition to getting a chance to practice delivering real-life feedback using a practical worksheet, you will get a new perspective on the topic and learn an original framework that makes the whole thing feel more digestible.
This session provides a comprehensive and engaging introduction to effective feedback practices which creates the foundation of a healthy diet of open communication – a crucial requirement for all successful teams.
What to Expect in Terms of Participation:
This course will take place remotely over Zoom but it is still interactive!
Throughout the session, there will be opportunities to chime in and respond to questions, so you should tune in from a place where you are comfortable unmuting and coming on mic and also having your video on. For the practice portion at the start of the workshop, you will be prompted to come up with a real-life example of feedback that you have for someone in your life. Together, we will use a worksheet to prepare the feedback and then you will be placed in a breakout room with one other person so you can practice with your example. (There will be an invitation to share privately with the facilitator if there is anyone you would prefer not to be paired with, should that be a concern for any reason.)
