ApprenticeNYC: Advanced Manufacturing – Info Session
MaiiC is hosting an ApprenticeNYC information session on January 29 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the Brooklyn Navy Yard.
ApprenticeNYC: Advanced Manufacturing, is a program designed to meet the labor needs of manufacturing businesses in New York City. This program was created with manufacturing businesses in response to the hiring struggles and has been successfully providing pre-screened, highly trained talent to manufacturing businesses since 2018.
This program provides businesses like yours with:
- Qualified Candidates who will have received roles such as Sheet Metal Fabricators, CNC Operators, Welders, Electrical Assembly Workers, and more.
- Four Months of Classroom Training: Apprentices undergo foundational, hands-on instruction to build the technical skills essential to the advanced manufacturing industry.
- Wage Subsidies: Partial reimbursement of wages during 40 weeks of on-the-job training, reducing your staff costs.
- Ongoing Support: From interviews and onboarding to mentorship, we’ll guide you through the entire apprenticeship process.
Employers interested in hiring apprentices will receive partial wage reimbursements during 40 weeks of on-the-job training, reducing staff costs. Apprentice-to-employer matching will continue through Feb. 7.
