The EPA Continues Investigation at Brooklyn Union Gas-Equity Works Site
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) will be continuing its investigation of elevated levels of radiation found in soil at 222, 252, and 254 Maspeth Avenue in Brooklyn, NY. The EPA is investigating the elevated levels of radiation found in the soil during National Grid’s cleanup of coal tar contamination at the request of the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation, or NYSDEC.
The EPA will be at 222, 252, and 254 Maspeth Avenue from January 21, 2025 to January 31, 2025, to find out more information about the elevated levels of radiation found in the soil on these properties.
