Local Law 97 (LL97) Compliance Reporting Deadline – May 1, 2025 

The Local Law 97 (LL97) compliance reporting deadline is May 1, 2025. If you haven’t taken steps to prepare your building’s 2024 emissions report, now is the time to act.

Starting this year, all property owners and managers of buildings larger than 25,000 square feet must submit an annual LL97 compliance report prepared by a Registered Design Professional (RDP) to report on the previous year’s emissions. With the deadline fast approaching, demand for RDPs is expected to rise, so you’re encouraged to secure one as soon as possible.   

Compliance reports will be submitted to the Department of Buildings (DOB) through an online portal, which is expected to launch in early March. To help you understand the reporting process and how to use the portal, the DOB plans to host a series of webinars starting Friday, February 28.
